From the importers (Novus):
Finca el Durazno is one of our LIFT coffees from Central Honduras. The farm is owned by Humerto Ardon, El Durazno has 15 hectares, 13 of which are cultivated. Guinope is a small municipality within the department of El Paraiso, with a population of 15,000 people primarily involved in the cultivation of coffee.
The farm sits at 1,600 – 1,650 meters above sea level, with an average temperature of 71 degrees and grows yellow and red catuai. As with all LIFT farms in Honduras, the pickers at Finca El Durazno are taught to only pick the ripest cherries, and they pay particular attention to the processing of their coffees to create and exceptional product.
This is the second year we have offered the El Durazno Honey Microlot. Last year it was one of our favorite coffees of the season, and we are delighted to find the coffee has grown even better this year with complex acidity of jasmine, lavender, strawberry, grape juice, and tropical fruit, with a sweet and lingering finish.
